Park Dixon Goist Papers
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of correspondence, arranged chronologically between Goist and Lewis Mumford (ca. 1966-1981) and two reprints of articles about Mumford written by Goist. There are also issues of the journals Architecture and Architectural Record containing articles written by Lewis Mumford.

Biographical / Historical
Born September 7, 1936, in Seattle, Washington, Goist graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in 1958 and from the University of Rochester with a Ph.D., in 1967. A faculty member (since 1971), now emeritus, at Case Western Reserve University, Goist has published works on Lewis Mumford and carried on a correspondence with Mumford for some years.
