The collection is an important and extensive record of original research done by Norman P. Goss that led to patents for new processes in the manufacturing of silicon steel and continuous castings in the metals field.

Biographical / Historical

Goss was a Cleveland area inventor and researcher born in 1906. He graduated Case Institute of Technology in 1925 and made significant contributions to the field of metals research, most notably in perfecting the Goss structure in 1935. He died in 1977.
