TLS, 1 page (4vo), 10 1/4"x8", Ausable Forks, New York, addressed to "Dear Hazel" [Hazel Harwell (formerly Kapstein), assistant to publisher Thorne Donnelley of The Lakeside Press]. Folded for mailing, very good, with envelope, 4 1/2"x5 1/2", postmarked November 20, 1935. Regarding a box of books that arrived from Lakeside Press, a bookplate, and a friend in the hospital, signed Rockwell, November 30, 1935

Scope and Content From the Collection: This collection consists of letters and supporting documentation, books on the art of letter writing, a small miscellaneous grouping of catalogs and photographs, and issues of The Wolf Magazine of Letters from June-July 1979 to Summer Quarterly 1991. The earliest letter, from the Marquise de Sevigne, dates from 1695; while the most recent was signed by entertainer Mike Douglas in 1980. Most of the letters date from the 19th century.
