Charles Greeley Abbot papers
This collection consists of records related to the development of gyroscopic apparatus (or early inertial navigation instrument) by General Electric Co. for military use in World War 1. This instrument was invented by Charles G. Abbot, then director of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.
Donald J. Angus papers
The Donald J. Angus Papers consist of records relating to the engineering activity of Donald J. Angus, part owner of the Esterline Angus Company. Most correspondence relates to the early years of the company from 1914-1918. It has been established that the later correspondence and other records were destroyed when this proprietary firm was sold in 1960. The fiscal records are, however, fairly complete, covering the years 1915-1958.

Babcock and Wilcox collection
This collection consists of 22 photographs of the Babcock and Wilcox Company facility at Renfrew, Scotland, circa 1903-1904. Photographs include images of the plant floor and its machinery, men working with machines and boilers, and the construction of new facilities.

William D. Buckingham Papers
The collection consists of material relating to Buckingham's long career with Western Union. Of particular interest are technical data and articles on the concentrated arc-lamp. There is some business correspondence and speeches given by Buckingham, as well as patent applications.
The collection is loosely arranged by subject, as many of the materials are bound volumes, and within subject headings are arranged chronologically.
Cleveland Play House Archive collection
Cleveland Play House (CPH) Archive is the institutional record of the organization concerning the work of actors, directors, managers, students and trustees who contributed to the creation of America's first professional regional theatre. The archive consists primarily of administrative office files, Board of Trustee minutes, production books, programs and photographs, set designs, clippings, audio visual materials, scrapbooks,and marketing materials.
Cleveland Rocket Society collection
This collection consists of records of the Cleveland Rocket Society 1929-1962; and research material collected by John Tascher in writing his history of the society 1936-1965.
