Overview This collection consists of records related to the development of gyroscopic apparatus (or early inertial navigation instrument) by General Electric Co. for military use in World War 1. Donald J. Angus papers

Overview The Donald J. Angus Papers consist of records relating to the engineering activity of Donald J. Angus, part owner of the Esterline Angus Company. Most correspondence relates to the early years of the company from 1914-1918. It has been established that the later correspondence and other records were destroyed when this proprietary firm was sold in 1960. The fiscal records are, however, fairly complete, covering the years 1915-1958.

Overview This collection consists of four drafts of "I Come As A Thief", a novel by Louis S. Auchincloss, depicting the rise and fall of a privileged Wall Street attorney. It was published in 1972. The first draft is written in pencil on 128 yellow legal size sheets of paper, containing many deletions, additions and corrections, as well as a type-written draft. Beginning in 1917, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemperly donated some 500 bookplates in memory of their daughter Lucia, a student at the College for Women, who died in 1915.
